The Therapy Center for Children
Provides preschool services and early intervention home-based services. Funding for preschool services and early intervention services is through Suffolk County and the NYS Department of Health. These services are of no out-of-pocket cost to families of eligible children. The Therapy Center for Children also provides private pay sessions.

Provides occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy to children from birth to adolescence. Their occupational therapists also excel in treatment of sensory issues in children.

National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities
Offers a wealth of information on disabilities. They provide information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children, and youth; IDEA, which is the law authorizing special education; No Child Left Behind (as it relates to children with disabilities); and research-based information on effective educational practices. This group lost funding and the website states that it will be taken down in September 2014.

Autism Speaks is a science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
The Autism Society exists to improve the lives of all affected by autism.
